Rules

The Air Capital Valley Pool League has adopted it's own set of Rules.  Obviously, those Rules conform to the Valley National Association 8-Ball League Association Rules, but there are some differences between the two.  The Air Capital VNEA has allowed Coaching, set it's own Team Format, has it's own Handicap system, Scoresheet, adopted the "Option" on an 8-Ball Break, does not require to the Pocket to be Marked, as examples of some of the differences.  Rules have been adopted, published, and are contained in each Team's weekly packet for 8-Ball.  Space does not allow for the publication of the entire set of Rules.

In it's News Letter, a short discussion entitled "FOCUS on the Rules" is published which discusses a particular Rule or interpretation of the Rules.

Questions concerning the Rules can be e-mailed to one of the individuals on the Rules Committee.  See the site for the Board of Directors for a listing of the members of the Rules Committee, and their e-mail addresses.

PLEASE NOTE:  There was a major modification of the Rules concerning the 8-Ball.  If a player is shooting the 8-Ball, and scratches but the 8-Ball remains on the table, then it is a Foul and the Incoming Player has Ball in Hand.  If a player is shooting the 8-Ball and scratches and the 8-Ball is pocketed at the same time, it is a loss of game.
